J.P. Morgan Completes First Public Tokenized Trade For Client BlackRock

J.P. Morgan has executed its first live blockchain-based collateral settlement transaction, which included participation from BlackRock and Barclays. “BlackRock and Barclays are now live on TCN, an application which sits on J.P. Morgan’s Onyx Digital Assets platform, operating as a private blockchain which is used for tokenized asset movements including collateral settlements,” J.P. Morgan said in a news release to PYMNTS.com.

The Monetary Authority of Singapore Reports Outcomes from Project Guardian

After three trials of analyzing infrastructure frameworks for facilitating the trading of tokenized assets, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has shared observations in its Project Guardian report.Project Guardian analyzed various platform types, asset types, and network access options with a focus on best practices. Although observations are shared from three test cases, Project Guardian does not endorse any specific option.

Blockchain Journal editor-in-chief David Berlind interviews Adam Lowe, the Chief Product Officer for Arculus, an exhibitor at Consensus 2023, about its digital asset and digital identity platform that allows enterprises to enable employees and users with a single smart card that stores their cryptocurrency keys, their application credentials (eg: Microsoft 365) and even their building entry credentials. The same smart card can even be used as a payments card (Arculus already supplies smart cards to many credit card-issuing financial institutions).

Deutsche Bank, one of the largest financial institutions in the world, has successfully completed a trial of its one-stop digital fund investment serving platform. This marks a significant milestone in the adoption of blockchain technology in the banking industry. The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) Announces Project Guardian

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has introduced Project Guardian, a pilot initiative focused on digital assets using tokenization on public blockchains. The project includes established financial institutions operating as “trust anchors.” One of the project’s initial pilots will involve tokenized foreign exchange and government bond transactions and includes participation from JP Morgan, DBS Bank, and Marketnode, a joint venture between the SGX Group and Temasek. SGX is Singapore’s stock exchange.
