The news of Robinhood’s Web3 wallet broke this time last year; today, the beta version is available for iOS. The beta version is available to the first 10,000 people who joined the waitlist in May 2022.
Robinhood’s Web3 wallet allows users to trade and swap cryptocurrencies with no network fees, as well as earn rewards and connect to dApps. Robinhood chose Polygon as the first blockchain network to support the wallet to provide a good trading experience.
“Robinhood’s non-custodial wallet represents a veritable game-changer for users and a boon for Web3 adoption,” said Hamzah Khan, Head of DeFi and Labs at Polygon. “This is a major step in our mission to make DeFi accessible to all users.”
Robinhood’s Web3 wallet roadmap includes being compatible with other blockchains as well as supporting NFTs.
