Insurance giant Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. has filed trademark applications for “Nationwide” and “On Your Side” with the USPTO on January 26, 2023.
According to the applications, Nationwide Insurance plans to provide metaverse insurance services, particularly for real estate investing. Additionally, it plans to extend its offerings to include insurance, financial information, and consultancy services in the metaverse and other virtual worlds. These services encompass various financial aspects, such as mutual fund investments, brokerage, retirement plan administration, and more.
