With the blessings of Mercedes-Benz, which is beginning to feel its way around the world of blockchain, Art2People plans to develop an exclusive non-fungible token (NFT) collection centered around the car manufacturer’s G-Class vehicle line of sport utility vehicles (commonly referred to as “G-Wagons”). The initiative involves commissioning five NFT artists to create a series of G-Class-inspired artworks using their own distinctive style.
The artists involved in this “NF-G” collaboration span various fields of expertise, including music, fashion, graphic design, architecture, creative marketing, luxury design, and real estate. Notable artists participating in the project include Charlotte Taylor, Anthony Authie, Roger Kilimanjaro, Baugasm, and Antoni Tudisco, who, like Mercedes, is based in Germany. Art2People plans to launch these NFTs with Nifty Gateway.
Mercedes has previously interacted with blockchain technology. In 2020, the auto giant partnered with Circulor, a blockchain startup, to launch a trial to track cobalt emissions throughout the supply chain.
