Blockchain Project: Atos Services for Paris 2024 Olympics & Paralympics

Atos has began providing technical services for the Olympics in 1989. As of 2024, the company has grown into the role of the Official Digital Technology Partner for the Olympic Games and chief IT integrator for the International Olympic Committee.

For Paris 2024, Atos is providing 150+ applications with stakeholder services for competitors, coaches, observers, organizers, and more. Atos also delivered the Commentator Information System (CIS), the Olympic Management System (OMS), and the Olympic Diffusion System (ODS): these apps verify, protect, and transmit information between Olympic partners, participants, and media outlets.

Atos has built a Technical Operations Center (TOC) to manage technology operations for the Paris 2024 games, including supervision of the 63 various competition and non-competition venues for the Olympics and Paralympics. The TOC in Paris is supported by the Central Operations Technology Center (CTOC) in Barcelona, and an Integration Testing Lab (ITL) in Madrid.

Although there have been no official announcements about the use of NFT technology for Paris 2024, Atos might be tapped for this service: in 2023, Aptos delivered NFTs to participants and winners for the European Games.
