Budweiser Announces NFT Collection To Support Musicians
Milestone Date: January 14, 2022
Budweiser announced it is launching its second NFT collection on January 21 called “Budweiser Royalty.” This 11,000-piece NFT collection is designed to provide a global platform to promote 22 emerging music artists.
Budweiser is working with Gary Vaynerchuck’s NFT consultancy VaynerNFT (update: VaynerNFT was eventually renamed Vayner3) to launch the collection. Out of the 11,000 NFTs in the collection, 500 of them feature the 22 music artists involved. There are three tiers that come with different levels of rewards for the holders:
- Core - represent these rising stars and show off their fandom
- Rare - access to a virtual listening party on Discord with their corresponding artist.
- Ultra Rare - access to exclusive NFT benefits and a video call with their featured artist.
“I have a crazy affinity for emerging music artists,” said Gary Vaynerchuk, CEO of VaynerNFT. “I strongly believe this collaboration will bring immense value to both Budweiser and the artists and will unlock unique experiences for their fans.”
Each “Core Can” NFT is $499. Early access to the drop is essentially token-gated in that only existing owners of the Budverse Cans: Heritage Edition NFT collection will get exclusive access to NFTs from this collection before the general public. “Gold Can” NFT holders from the Heritage collection will receive an airdrop that includes one free Royalty NFT for each Gold Can NFT they have.
