Tire manufacturer Michelin has announced plans to launch a 5,000-piece NFT collection called the Michelin 3xplorer Club. The intention is to create a digital community for NFT holders to come together, interact, and support each other as it relates to the brand’s major themes of mobility, travel, sport, and gastronomy.

Holders of Michelin 3xplorer Club NFTs, which will depict 5,000 different versions of the famous Michelin Man, will be able to access one-of-a-kind brand experiences, including the revelation gala of the famous MICHELIN Guide selection attended by top-flight chefs, the one-hundredth anniversary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, alongside the MICHELIN Motorsport Team and the MotoGP Grand Prix. For a chance to participate in these experiences, holders will participate in a lottery and community challenges.

Michelin has teamed up with select partners to help create the Michelin 3xplorer Club, such as getbulldog.xyz (a startup specialized in Web3 and NFTs), Goeland Studio (a digital creation agency specialized in virtual and augmented reality), and Metav.rs (a firm that specializes in designing Web3 and metaverse experiences).

This is Michelin’s first step into Web3 and is only the beginning of its Web3 strategy. The legacy brand is pursuing new ways of building relationships with its community and providing exciting experiences for them.

“For more than 130 years, MICHELIN has facilitated mobility, for everyone and everywhere. Web3 is the perfect place in which to bring together the Michelin Man’s friends, who are also innovation enthusiasts,” said Jean-François Laforge, Brands and Commercial Communication Director of the Michelin Group.
